The popular streaming platform, Netflix, is always bringing new features to the service. Also, the company announced that it will launch a global crackdown on password-sharing. Today, Netflix has introduced a new feature called “My Netflix” to offer better content discovery for users in its mobile apps. Here are the details about the new feature “My Netflix” tab…
My Netflix will help you choose what you want to watch
Netflix is planning to offer the new feature to help you see your downloads, your favorite series or movies, and more in the My Netflix tab. When we look at the revealed images, we can see that the new tab includes downloads, recently watched, in progress, saved content, and more. It is announced as a one-stop shop that will offer easy shortcuts to help you choose what you want to watch.
Netflix explains, “Today, we’re introducing My Netflix, a one-stop shop tailored to you with easy shortcuts to help you choose what you want to watch. In this new dedicated space on iOS and Android globally, you can see your downloads (e.g. Quarterback episodes for that long flight), TV series and movies you gave a thumbs up to, shows and films you’ve saved to My List (e.g. Heart of Stone, anyone?), trailers you’ve watched, reminders you’ve set, whatever you’re in the middle of watching, what you’ve recently watched, and more.”
Additionally, it suggests that while using your phone on the go, you can easily access your saved or downloaded content by going straight to the “My Netflix” section. However, you can still explore the full selection of series and films by navigating to the Home tab and other sections of the app.
According to the official announcements, the new feature is now available on iOS, and it will be rolled out on Android in early August.
